From 3 million to 93 million of net worth is for the farce that he started and does not even follow through with what he expects people to do. This man does not give but takes what ever he can and will push to get what he wants. This sounds like another demanding and uncaring Democrat.

Yes. Nearly everyone knows that but especially all the politicians in congress and around the world. Why do you think they all jump on the band wagon and start delving into green sources for energy and carbon trading. He opened the door and they all knew it was lies but carried on with it anyway the same as he did. Especially the English. Even though they knew it was to the detriment of the people they were supposed to represent they only represented themselves with the money they made out of it. He was just the first and the worst.

I have a client who needs to calculate their net worth. They own a small business and were wondering if they combine their small business’s net worth (they own the business 100%) with their personal net worth and total the two to determine their true net worth.

Obviously it depends on different things but on average, about how much should your net worth be by your mid 30s (cash, accounts, investments etc)? Not talking about things like inheritance, but how much $ you have saved/invested for yourself. Serious opinions only please.
Wow mine is in the 300Ks based upon that calculation. Guess I am dirt poor then. I live in a costly area and don’t own a home, just the money I have saved. But I also have no debt (mortgage etc). How can average families, with kids, mortgages, car payments etc. have several hundred thousand dollars in assets and not be in debt?

The calc the 1st person told has a slight flaw I think. Most people don’t make a ton of money straight out of school. Plus, you also have loans which puts you at a negative net worth starting out. It’s better to compare yourself to others in this case. The median net worth of someone in their 30’s is $45,000. The top 25% of 30’s has $128,000.

I own a home worth $300,000. I chose not to work because I would rather spend my days boogie boarding, however, I do receive a rather hefty Social Security check each month because I have managed to get myself listed as ‘disabled’ (LOL). Since my net worth is over $250,000 will my SS checks be taxed under Obama or can I look forward to receiving yet another nifty ‘tax credit’ check for doing nuttin?
