A Tennessee State Senator is fighting to stop the Security and Prosperity Partnership.
State Senator Bill Ketron is asking
the Tennessee General Assembly to turn up the heat on Congress to stop economic integration between the United States, Mexico
and Canada. Ketron sponsored a resolution arguing the SPP, if allowed to continue,
is "a direct threat to the
Constitution and national independence of the United States."
Lawmakers in more than a dozen states are passing resolutions
opposing the so-called North American Union.
But will President Bush listen to the majority ?
Do you think the they can stop the SPP ?
Do you think that the SPP is good or bad for the USA ?
This is what NEEDS to be done! My hats off to Ketron…he is very correct that it IS a direct threat to the Constitution and national Independence of the USA!
If Bush doesn’t listen then he will more than likely be impeached for Treason to the Constitution and his oath of office.
The vote for the amnesty bill will be very telling if they are listening to the American people. The amnesty bill is just another step to the North American Union that the elites are trying to push through right now.
The SPP is gravely negative for the USA.

How did post-Industrial Revolution Britain and other Western nations including the USA improve the conditions of its industrial workers and remove hunger and poverty? How long did it take to achieve? And can the same path to prosperity and wealth be a model for sustainable economic development in the developing countries of India, China, Latin America and Africa? Is it possible to follow a purely capitalist free-market economy to let that happen or will the space the government vacates be taken over by the mafia, drug lords, extremists and fundamentalists who’ll further erode the development with their parallel government and economy? What do you think? Please provide some sources or texts for further reference and discussion.
For those who are unaware of the extent of poverty in the developing countries, the UN defines the poverty line as living on less than $1 a day.
Mortgage of private property is one thing and removing poverty is another. What do the homeless people begging in the streets have to mortgage?
The real reason:
Private Property Rights

If you are writing a paper or if you just want to understand why some countries are rich and others are poor, this is the book that everyone on the planet who cares about poverty should read.
Britain developed a system of private property rights. What countries/territories did the British colonize? USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong.
After WWII, thoses private property rights were instituted in Japan. After the Korean War, those private propoerty rights were instituted in South Korea.
It is not a coincidence that people in countries with a good system of private property rights are not living in squalor.

What does trade do? Comparative advantage is the foundation of the division of labor and exchange, but it’s rarely understood. “The Great Prosperity Machine” explodes the absurdities of protectionist dogmas by showing what trade accomplishes — prosperity and peace.

This is delusional thinking and will(is) lead this nation into bankruptcy! Prosperity comes from the top down. I work for a Rich man and I am thankful that he is rich so that he can employ me! Don’t bother attempting to answer unless you have a clue what I am talking about!
Sooner or later, the government is going to run out of other peoples money!
Most of you really do think that it is a bottom up society, this is really scary! Its common sense people just think about it!
Because what liberal say and what they really mean are two different things. There are many mega rich liberal Democrats. Do they want to pay higher taxes like they threaten other rich people? No. They simply set up foundatioins and send their wealth off shore so they don’t have to pay taxes on it like you and me. You are correct. I work for a rich man, too. There never has been a time when one poor person wrote a paycheck (and all the taxes) to another poor person. A star for you.

I am actually being serious and not trying to be a smart a**. I am religious and I totally get that churches need money to function, but I have never heard a priest or any other sort of minister practically guarantee prosperity if I give to the church. Why does the TBN promote this message, and do you think their message is right?
Take that money and buy some food for a homeless shelter. Buy some blankets or food for the local animal shelter. Donate money to the American Cancer Society… but PLEASE don’t send money to those hokey tv ministries. They are tax-exempt CORPORATIONS, and they will promise you anything to get your Visa card number. I promise you, the minister isn’t driving a 1987 Dodge Dart.
You can do good deeds on your own, without the help of some slick middleman.
