Republicans act only to benefit the wealthy.
Democrats act only to benefit the criminals.
Madoff is a Democrat. He’s wealthy, but he’s also a criminal. So he chose the Democrats.
So if politics is a contest between the wealthy and the criminals, do the wealthy criminals always win no matter what the outcome is?
My dad is a Republican. He’s wealthy, but he’s also a criminal. He chose the Republicans.
He is actually the person who is said to have inspired the "ponzi-scheme" controversies. He did the same thing as Madoff, only he was caught a few years earlier. So check your stereotypes.
And actually, both parties do a lot of benefit the less fortunate. However, by definition, the less fortunate don’t suddenly get wealthy, or they wouldn’t be less fortunate. If everyone was considered of equal wealth, it’d be called communism, my friend.
How do the people wrestle back the power from the wealthy and the big corporations as far as who their politicians actually work for??
THE TRUTH IS THAT THE WEALTHY & STRONG HAVE CONTROL SOCIETY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF TIME AND ALWAYS WILL.

people were either extremely wealthy or extremely poor. i want to know how people came to be so wealthy, i need at least three reasons.
Organized crime : bootlegging ; the Kennedys
Oil exploration in Pennsylvania and Ohio : Rockefellers (burning competitors’ wells)
Stock market: illegal insider trading made many very rich on the back of many ignorant losers.
John McCain abandoned his first wife following an injury she incurred, and married into the wealthy family of Cindy McCain, whom he publicly called a cunt. Cindy is also a drug user, apparently, and she has stolen from her own charity in the past (possibly to aid her addiction?)

I wanted to know what the wealthy usually talked about during dinner parties and balls or any other social event during the mid 1800s. And if anyone would happen to know, what topics were considered big no-nos if you were a woman or a man talking with a woman? If there were any that is….
In USA, big topics of conversation among the wealthy from 1840-1860:
- slavery: arguments for and against depending where you were North or South,
- first use of the term "Dixie" to describe the southern states, based on the Missouri Compromise of 1820 and beginning to be a matter of pride for many southerners,
- servants and the difficulty of finding them; this was the first topic of conversation for all strangers who met at soirees and other functions; it seemed to unite the rich as a complaint,
- women’s fashion, especially since European styles were moving towards tightlacing of the waist with the crinoline frame supporting the skirts [but see no-nos below],
- men’s fashion, where the neck tie and bow were replacing the stock, and trousers began to be deliberately creased down the front and back instead of being just tubes of fabric,
- notorious bank failures which left some wealthy families in straitened circumstances for years,
- the European markets for cotton, tobacco, sugar and pelts,
- the weather; this was an American topic just as it was [is] the typical English conversation-starter; the heat in the summer, the snow in the winter, the rain, the wind, hurricanes,
- political unrest in Europe, especially the 1848 revolutions in Austria, France, Italian states, Denmark, Poland, German states, Hungary, Switzerland; [Italy and Germany were not countries at that time]; most Americans living south of Virginia had family in those European countries so this was of intimate concern to them;
- romances and marriages in the milieu; and anything scandalous such as unfaithfulness, excessive flirting, immodest dresses, and men with dark reputations,
- sicknesses and ill-health; a generally good topic for everyday conversation and at parties etc; everyone took interest in others’ illnesses.
To be avoided:
- religion especially the rise of Mormonism; Great Salt Lake City was founded in 1847 by a group of Mormon pioneers led by their prophet, Brigham Young, who left behind hostility and violence in the Midwestern United States; it was regarded in polite society as too scandalous to be mentioned particularly because of the development of polygamy,
- sex including pregnancy and childbirth; not to be mentioned in the presence of the opposite sex but there was lots going on; the live birth-rate doubled between 1820 and 1870 although mainly among immigrants rather than the wealthy original Americans;
- underwear; not to be mentioned in the presence of a gentleman but an avid topic among women since knickers were coming into style instead of the older-style drawers; corsets specifically not to be discussed in public, as though they were not worn and women were THAT shape naturally.
Does that give you some ideas?
In European polite society, the topics were different. If you need these, add an edit and there is more to provide in answer.
OK?

They say to become successful, try and emulate those who are already wealthy.
Some common traits I’ve seen/heard =
The wealthy take responsibility and do not make excuses for themselves.
Everyday they focus on their dreams and move towards them in some way.
They respect every amount of money, no matter how small.
They realize success comes from the inside world which will translate into the tangible world.
They understand habits and how to break/form them. (action vs thoughts)
Past memories only serve to learn from, not to create fear or hamper them.
What are some others?
1. PERSISTENCE
On your way to achieve wealth, you will definitely face some obstacles. Overcome the obstacles and move on. Do not give up and be persistent. Wealth is achieved only by removing a series of stumbling blocks along your way to riches.
2. INVEST OR BUILD A BUSINESS
Extremely wealthy people are either businessmen or investors. Look at some of the richest people in the world. They all own companies. To create wealth, you must involve yourself in business or investing. This is where the money is. Start your own business and grow your wealth.
3. INNOVATIVE
To be very wealthy and to stay wealthy, you need to be very innovative. Being innovative ensures that you always come up with new ideas to create wealth. Look around you for some opportunities that can make you rich. Be observant and critical.
4. DO WHAT YOU LOVE
If you are not doing what you love, forget about getting rich. Wealthy people get wealthy because they do what they love. They love what they do so much that they forget that they are actually working. Find something you love and create business around what you love.
5. GIVE IT BACK
Donate some of your income to charity you believe in on a regular basis. Some extremely wealthy people even have their own foundations. They donate a percentage of their wealth to the cause they believe. The more you give, the more you receive. Do not hoard wealth, share it with people around you.
6. CONTINUOUS LEARNING
Keep learning to improve yourself. Extremely wealthy people believe that the greatest asset in the world is your mind. Your mind shapes your destiny. Invest in your greatest asset by reading books, listening to audio tapes or attending seminars.
7. LEVERAGE
Extremely wealthy people do not do everything themselves. They know when to let go. They hire the right people to do it. Bill Gates doesn’t write software, he hires programmers to do it. To be very rich, you must know how to leverage. Hire people and use tools to do some of your work. If you do not leverage, there is only so much that you can do, and this puts a limit on how much money you can make.
Besides the above traits, extremely wealthy people dream big and they take action to have their dreams come true. Furthermore, they persevere and have strong desire in achieving their dreams.
